Education

I graduated from the University of Sussex in the summer of 2005 and achieved a 2:1 in Computer Science. Over the course of my degree I studied a wide range of languages, including Ada, Haskell, Java, PHP and SQL, to name just a few.

Employment

I'm currently a Design Integrator working for Magpie. This requires my extensive knowledge of XHTML, CSS and XSLT to implement and maintain website styling. Some of my time is spent on creating "themes" for Redhat's APLAWS content management system (CMS), which is primarily used by councils and local authorities. The rest of my time is spent on Brandwatch, an internally developed piece of software that aims to track what people are saying about brands online. This involves styling and writing automated web tests in Java using Selenium.

Leisure

In my spare time I work on personal projects, such as game programming with BlitzMax. I also write games using Flash which is, comparatively, much quicker.

I like to draw but it's a struggle to find time for it. I practise yoga and pilates as it's a great way to counter the consequences of having a sedentary job.

Juggling

Over the past few years I've learnt how to juggle, as I thought it would be an interesting skill to develop. An excellent resource I used when learning to juggle is the Internet Juggling Database. My juggling repertoire consists of the patterns listed below:
