Jonathan Miles, Freelance Web Designer

Portfolio

Below are examples of various projects I have been involved with.

limbiclearning.co.uk

A custom Joomla! 1.5 template created to the client’s specification, which included the need to serve Flash video and have flexibility in the page layouts. Third party extensions were carefully chosen to implement extra functionality such as the contact forms.

exula.co.uk / theinsectdynasty.com

Two WordPress powered websites belonging to my brother which use tailor made themes I created to his designs. The art galleries are driven by a user-friendly plugin which makes it easy to maintain and update the website content, without the need to be a web expert.

guernseyregistry.com

A bespoke theme, implemented for the APLAWS content management sytem, using designs and graphical assets provided by the client. This was one of the projects I worked on during my time at Brandwatch and it involved the development of an XSLT based front-end, which integrated with an existing codebase, plus CSS and HTML.

fingerjig

Fingerjig is an Actionscript 2 based Flash typing game that I developed as a personal project. The words that players are challenged to type are fetched from a MySQL database, with PHP’s PEAR cache helping to optimise the performance. I have also integrated Fingerjig with Facebook, using the Facebook Platform.
